Silent video with captions. It moves from a hand-drawn play on notebook paper to the Flag Champs editor ("Create and edit plays in seconds"), then a play animating with fakes, a handoff and a throw ("Watch your play's full progression"), then printed wristbands and play sheets ("Wristbands and scripts, ready to print"), and ends on the Flag Champs logo and the eight features listed below.

  • Draw once, use everywhere.

The same play becomes your print sheets, your wristbands, & the animation your team watches.

  • It keeps the details straight.

Position names, roles, shapes, crossing order (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and where the ball goes, all come from the routes you draw.

  • Built for every level.

4v4 to 11v11, with your own custom position names, colors, and audible code words.

What's in the playbook

  • The play editor: players L, C, Q, B and R lined up on depth lines from I-Stack to 9 Steps, with a dotted handoff path and routes, beside the play name panel.

    Custom Formations & Plays

Line players up on real depth lines, then draw routes, handoffs, motion and fakes, one click per point. Shapes, crossing order and the ball are added for you.

  • An option play with four code words, Leopard, Rabbit, Bobcat and Crush, each drawn in its player's color, and a Coach's Call button for each one.

    Audibles & Options

Give one play several options, each with its own code word. One call at the line picks the option. Prints show every option; the animation plays them one at a time.

  • A play paused at the end of its animation, with Replay, Play and Loop buttons and a timeline split into Snap, Backfield and Release.

    Watch Play Animations

Every play animates the snap, the fakes, the handoff and the routes at full, half or quarter speed, so everyone sees the timing, not just the lines.

  • Print formats 2-up sheets, Reference sheet, Landscape, Wristbands and Call sheet, with a sheet of numbered wristband cards, cut marks and a calibration ruler.

    Wristbands & Print Formats

True-size wristband cards, two-up play sheets, coach call sheets and big-icon pages for younger players, in color or grayscale. Prints at 100% on a home printer, with cut marks.

  • A Week 1 install with 17 plays, numbered 1 and 2 at the top of the list, each with its play code, Edit Play and Share.

    Playbook Installs & Script Sheets

Group plays into weekly installs, numbered so players can call them, and script practice in calling order.

  • The shared playbook on a phone: formation tabs, a play's full animation and Replay, Play and Loop buttons. No sign-in screen.

    Share with Your Team

Send players and families one link. No account, no app: your plays animate on any phone, and coaches' notes stay with coaches.

  • A Cover 2 defense: two safeties and two corners in shaded zones, and a rusher with an arrow across the line.

    Offense & Defense

Draw defensive looks and assignments too (rush, zone, man and spy) against the offense you'll face.

  • A 7v7 Trips Right flood pass with seven positions, L, C, Q, B, X, Y and R, each in its own color.

    Multiple Flag Football Formats

Any format from 4v4 to 11v11, including 5v5 and 7v7. Each team gets its own positions, colors and code words.

How it works

Coaches

  1. Create your team and pick your format.
  2. Set up your formations, then draw plays on them.
  3. Group plays into installs; print wristbands and sheets.
  4. Invite assistant coaches and send your team a link.

Players & Families

  1. Open the link your coach sends. No account, no app.
  2. Watch each play animate on your phone, as slow as you like.
  3. Coaches' notes stay with coaches. On youth teams, kids never get accounts, and shared views show first names or jersey numbers only.

Who built this

Coach Gruff: a cartoon goat with curled horns, a red headband and eye black, chewing a torn green flag belt.

Built by Coach Gruff, a former player and coach who has drawn plays for championship kids' and adult teams for 30 years. Coach Gruff has also designed and built software for over 20 years and got tired of redrawing everything, every season.
